Echeveria ‘Crimson Tide’ unique plant. It has beautiful coloring and is comprised of many layers of very curly, dark pink tipped petals. During the warmer weather it tends to form some less curls and a pinker outer rim on the leaves. It forms large rosettes of 10 inches in diameter or more of very frilly glowing crimson. ‘Crimson Tide’ has performed well in the landscape in temperate climates, providing the gardener with a frilly accent to euphorbia ‘Firesticks’, Senecio mandraliscae and others. Hummingbirds love the profuse tall flowering stalks with bell-shaped flowers filled with nectar.
Drought tolerant when established. Needs well draining soil. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost to prevent from possible scarring. Looks best with regular watering in hotter months.
